Today’s tichu game started at 10:30am. It continued past midnight. Highlights include:
- A come-from-behind victory where my partner and I eked out a victory despite needing more than 300 points and the other team needing only 5 points. (5 points is the smallest increment of points in this game.)
- A come-from-behind victory where a different partner and I came back from behind more points than the game takes to win (down 530 points, at a score of -265 to 265, and the game is played first to 500 points, starting at 0).
- So. Much. Laughter. The silliness abounded. The game mainly broke because I thought it was starting to get less fun due to exhaustion. There will be more tichu in the future.
- Taking a quick break to play Figgie, a game that mimics market trading.
- One of our number stating that she would love to play every day as part of a coworking rotation: 6 of us in a room together, 4 playing tichu, the other 2 rotating in and out as they have work calls.
What a great life I lead 🙂
